Foundation of "Fell Shop CEE s.r.o." by Richard Hofer as entrepreneur / investor in the Czech Republic. 2016/17 Opening of a Fell-Shop (Fur shop Pop-up store)

Lékárna Vital (Pharmacy, 2007 - 2014)
In 2007, Richard founded his own company, Pharmacy
Development, and proceeded to acquire and develop a chain
of pharmacies in the Czech Republic. Over a period of 5 years
the chain grew to 12 pharmacies before being sold off at the
end of 2013.

droxi drogerie markt (Drugstore 1996 - 2007)
In 1996, Richard was the founding manager of the "droxi drogerie"
chain in the CzechRepublic and Slovakia. Droxi was founded by
a consortium of private equity investors including J.M. Meinl
International, Invesco, JP Morgan Flemings and Oresa Ventures.
With Richard as CEO, the droxi chain grew over a period of
11 years to the market leader in the drugstore sector with more than
130 stores and 800 employees. In the year 2004 "droxi drogerie"
was awarded to the retailer of the year. "droxi drogerie" was sold to
Schlecker (from Germany) in 2007 and Richard retired as CEO.

dm – drogeriemarkt (Drugstore 1981-1995)
Prior to founding the droxi chain, Richard spent 15 years at
dm - drogeriemarkt, one of Europe's most successful drugstores/perfumery
chains based in Salzburg, managing various of the CEE markets.
Richard was responsible for the entry of dm - drogeriemarkt into former Czechoslovakia in 2003. From 1981 to 1995 Richard worked in different
positions (sales and purchase) at dm- drogeriemarkt, as a member of the
Board of the Directors in Austria and as the General Manager for the
Czech Republic and Slovakia. Richard played a decisive role in
dm -drogeriemarkt's successful development in Austria and the
development of its subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Consultancies
Richard has been consulted previously in respect of:
• a proposed acquisition by one of the leading CEE private equity
• funds of a drugstore chain in Ukraine;
• due diligence in respect of a proposed acquisition of a chain of
• 53 Czech pharmacies by a private equity fund;
• the proposed acquisition by a European private equity fund of a
• pharmacy chain in Romania.

• pharmacy chain in Serbia and Bulgaria.
